I am a dedicated and highly specialist paediatric physiotherapist who qualified in June 2009, specialising in paediatrics since October 2011. I have extensive experience within the NHS and private sectors, working with a wide and diverse variety of conditions/presentations in children from ages 0-19 years old.
An area of specific interest is children with neurological conditions such as working with children with Cerebral Palsy or brain injuries, however, I enjoy working with children of all levels and abilities. I am confident in working within various settings including homes, schools/nurseries or clinics. I am trained in elastotherapeutic taping, sensory integration, and gait analysis.
Since completing a paediatric placement during my first year of studying at University, I have had a passion for paediatric physiotherapy and was lucky enough to be able to specialise in this field when I graduated in 2015 - I have enjoyed a career in community paediatrics ever since!
I specialise in providing early intervention for babies born prematurely and/or with complex birth histories, and also in working with children who have acquired brain injuries (including Cerebral Palsy), genetic conditions and musculoskeletal issues including hypermobility. I am experienced in carrying out rehab following Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) and am trained in hydrotherapy, therapeutic taping and the EI SMART principal.
